One of the coolest parts of the F.E.E.T program is the hands-on culinary and catering training our youth get during their five weeks at Frontlines. Not only do they gain real kitchen experience, but they also earn important certifications like their Food Handling Certificate, Smart Serve, and more—setting them up with skills they can carry into future jobs.
Our students jump right in, helping prepare meals for our after-school programs, weekly grocery pick-up, and even for other community agencies. It’s a great way for them to learn while also giving back to the community in a meaningful way.
They also get the chance to be part of our Frontlines catering business—prepping food for orders and, in some cases, serving at events across the GTA. It’s a win-win: youth get real-world experience, and our community gets to see their hard work and talent in action.
